Government, Marxism, and Human Nature are incompatible.

That is what everyone who advocates Marxism says. What is so complex that no one can understand it when they scoff at it.

Not really.
I've just been clear that Russia is trying to protect its backyard and interests that have direct and close impact on their nation while we've been trying to manipulate a far away country in an effort to grow western controlled central banking, while getting NATO on the border of Russia, and gaining control of vital gas pipelines into Russia.
So? Do you understand Foreign policy?

At the same time you have to understand why Russia wouldn't take kindly to the US trying to subvert Ukrainian politics.
We want to have those gas pipelines under western control, we want NATO in Ukraine, we want Ukraine to be owned by the western central banking hegemony. These things would be terrible for Russia.
We must be imperialistic when it come to foreign policy, our economy is dependent on it.
And Russia isn't?

I may have to do another marathon viewing before Sunday as well. The show really is enjoyable for a variety of reasons- cinematography, dialogue, acting, soundtrack all come to mind. Not to mention I grew up around all those little towns and recognize those last names. This is one of those shows that gets lots of people theorizing and trying to solve this puzzle- makes for great water cooler conversation at work.
I'm hoping to catch a few new insights watching the first seven episodes again back to back.
I completely agree and it is interesting how much it really is set up like a True Crime novel.

Why should we promote our interests at all then? You seem to think supporting like minded governments is a bad thing.
It is a good true crime novel turned into an 8 hr movie.

i really like this idea, but it has to be HARD to have consistently good seasons of TV with this format. More power to them if they can pull it off, but i bet it catches up to them in season 3. Much like American Horror Story.
That is the thing with an anthology season. If one of them bombs, the next one can be tweaked.
In the age of Netflix, you are going to see this more. The long form anthology TV show already outpaces the movie as far as a story telling medium.
The Baby Boomers were spoiled children what else is new?
Why would we not support the Ukraine? You guys confuse soft power and hard power and instead just push for no power?
Yeah it his show, he developed it. But likely set in a very different location in another tax credit state (much like the Walking Dead spinoff will be).
Exactly what I was talking about, you weirdos equate Russia's invasion with us supporting a dude who was poisoned and scarred for wanting political freedom?
The Emperor was deliberately creating a moral choice for both Luke and Vader. A Xanatos Gambit if you will. Luke defeats Vader, he gains the stronger Skywalker as his new apprentice. Vader kills Luke, then Luke wasn't strong enough anyway and there is nothing to redeem him (neither the Emperor nor Vader knew about Leia until the "Your thoughts betray you" line)
Remember Vader was weakened anyway (The volcano had dampened his force potential from Chosen One down to just above average Force user).
Palpatine also thought that by killing Luke in front of Vader, it would extinguish any thoughts of redemption through his son that Vader might have been entertaining.
Remember Sith constantly violate the rule of Two in order to betray each other. See Galen Marek and the Emperor's hands.
And Luke had trained a few days with Ben, a couple weeks with Yoda. He was still basically a 20 yr old Youngling in Jedi. That was why his Jedi Order was so different. He established it based on the limited Holocrons and journals he could find. Plus visiting other Force sensitives like the Night sisters.
It has never been directly established but the way Luke's New Jedi Order was established it seemed that not only Obi Wan but Yoda learned from Qui Gon's force ghost. Luke likely as well, because the NJO certainly resembles Qui Gon's Living Force Philosophy in their theology.

yeah that was the 04 election. What happened in 2010 that was suspicious?
the pro Russian candidate won despite massive accusations of fraud.
And before we start saying both sides are equivalent, lets go back to the 04 election in the Ukraine. The pro Western candidate had survived poisoning before being elected. So yes we are all equivalent here.

Not that we need to be directly involved but that is a far cry from no business.

I haven't seen Magic Mike but isn't MM's character named like Dallas or Tex? You could do some great stuff with True Detective/Magic Mike/AND Dallas Buyers club.
Or Woody and Hunger Games.

Imagine if Russia was investing billions into subverting Canadian politics so they could hurt our economy and gain military advantages against us.
Would we be pissed?
Russia would be subverting Canadian liberal democracy, not Ukrainian/Russian illiberal democracy/kleptocracy.

I think Rand would surround himself with good people on FP. Obama's problem is not positions or what he says it is that he doesn't back it up. I also believe (and yes it is because I like Rand) Rand would have gotten a better deal on nuke reduction that what Obama did. FP is rand's weak point though.
