You guys are taking this the wrong way. Yes, OOS guys have been very good to LSU. Not saying that I don't want OOS kids. I am just saying that Louisiana has its best crop of prospects ever in the next 2 classes for sure. And we need to focus on home first...that's all I am saying!

I know we cant get ever IN-STATE guy, but seeing all of these OOS offers could come back to hurt us with our own kids. If the state wasn't so loaded, I wouldn't ever post this.

There are about 20-25 kids from Louisiana in 2016 and 2017 that will play on Sundays.

I have been looking at this recruiting thing for over 20 years and I have seen many recruiting classes. 2016 by far is the best ever in LA.

Louisiana is very, very deep with potential pros!

We need to really take a look at this in-state thing. If you knew how to evaluate prospects. You wouldn't say that I am stupid!

If we don't take care of home in 2016 and 2017. We will see who is stupid! For all of you that called me stupid. Time will tell how stupid I am.

Don't take care of home...Jody will have your girl and gone!

Basic stuff!! KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid )

Stop looking all over the place!!

In case nobody knew, the State of Louisiana has been blessed with some astonishing talent. These kids coming out the next 2-3 recruiting classes is second to none in the country.

You will have a ton of those guys play on Sundays.

Question is...how many will play at LSU?

Can anybody tell me why are we doing this (offering all these OOS guys)?

Winning cures all what's going on with in-state recruiting. LSU need to win the big games and championships and it wouldn't have those problems.

There is no quick fix! LSU should play to win and be aggressive. Don't be afraid to lose. If you are afraid to lose, you will lose.

We have the guys in this state to win championships!

Stop looking at the stars and get the talent !! Louisiana is loaded in case nobody knew!!

Cole Kelley needs to be a Tiger!
Question, does anybody know if he wants to play at LSU? Something is wrong here. Tell me what's the problem here?

If you want Cam Lewis, you better go get the Ladarius Thomas kid from Wossman too. The kid can play FB or LB. Take the kid! We have a need for him at both positions.

Bama might be doing like they did with the other group from Monroe.

Should have taken the Turpin kid too. Now TCU is in North Louisiana. We don't know how to close the doors and windows!

The best talent in Louisiana history and we are f..king around like this.

Get the in-state guys. If not, the country is going to raid the state now and in the future.

Let some of these guys go outside of the state and have great careers.

Now you are really screwed !!

Yes, we need a few OOS guys, but not more than 5...end of story!
Hope this kid and Charlot are not the best of friends. If so, we are behind the 8ball already.

While we were scrambling, Nic was rambling.

Coach Frank, Raymond and O-GO, go get this kid now! Miles needs to be in Patterson like today!

This kid should be at top of our list!! This kid is too good to play around with. He doesn't need to come to camp to get an offer...Camp to get an offer, are you serious?

Let's get aggressive and lock as many of these in-state guys as we can down now!
This kid needs an offer and invite to the Boys n the Boot. The kid can flat out get it done!

I really would not like to see him on another SEC roster and have to play against him.

He makes plays!
He is not a WR. He is a SS...and one of the best SS in the nation.

Look at his video as a SS and reply back and tell me what you think.

Dude is the best SS in the south!

Scott Long has it wrong. The kid is top 10 in the state without question.
LINK

Bama has already been to see him..."Honey Badger #2"...he needs a offer like yesterday!!
Due to lack of signing LBs:

Move Michael Patterson (6'3 220) and Lewis Neal (6'1 238) to LBer along with Cory Thompson (6'2 212),and Deondre Clark (6'2 238). They all have good LBer size.

I think this would be a good move if we move to a 3-4 defense. It would be exciting to see us move in that direction.

The 3-4 would allow us to play with an extra Lber/SS type of guy who can pass rush or drop in coverage. I think we will be deep at the DL position in 2015 and looking forward. That kind of depth is perfect for the 3-4.

In 2015 we will have at least 6 good DLmen that can really play. So, why not go to the 3-4 and get after some people?

Lets talk recruiting...

2015-2016 Recruiting Prospects - Come make a difference in a GREAT PROGRAM.

Stand up! If you think you are GREAT. GO make your mark on the college game as a TIGER!. LSU will play for National Championships in the FUTURE!

LSU will produce many NFL players over the next 6 years. You could be in that number!

Coaches, Stand UP! We(OC) need to open UP! This is the SEC, not the Big Ten!

Let's figure on 13-14 spots to fill in 2015, and 25 in 2016

QB - Hope both QBs improve..and I think they will but we need a backup plan in case they don't.

[Need a JUCO or Transfer player who can come in the spring]

QB - Prospects (list who you think we need to recruit for 2015)...need Cole Kelly in 2016!!

OL - this is a huge and big problem. We need more depth. Need (4 Center/Guards and 5 Guards/Tackles) all in 2015-2016.

OL Prospects - (List who you would like for us to sign) #1 Tillery

LBers - we need some long rangy kids who can run and can tackle...tackling is huge on the D-side of the ball. Need 3-4 in 2015.

Need McGinnis, A. Thomas and 2 more strong kids. Need another 4-5 in 2016 to be set for long term.

Specialty Players - we need them almost just as bad so we need our QBs to improve or be replaced.

KR and PR - we need (3-4) big-time kids who can come in and be game changers.

Prospects: Johnson, Dillon, D. Jackson, Ridley (we need them to compete for the National Championship)

Punters (yes -2) we need to bring in at least 2-3 punters. Walk-ons, etc. The punting game has not been good the last 2 years. We need to improve there like yesterday.

Kickers- we need to improve...I hope we can get that area straighten out next season.

DL - we need 4-5 guys who can really play. Hope Herron can come through for us next season. Gilmore and #92 are in over their heads. Gilmore does not have what it takes to play in the SEC (no disrespect). Need guys who are aggressive!! You can't teach aggression.

Need: Tyrell Jacobs, J. Taylor and 2 other strong kids. Jacobs will play on Sundays!

WR - Need 2-3 more big-timers ( Johnson, Ridley, Charlot, Hodge)

DE - Need 3-4 kids who are have that motor to get to the QB and play with outside leverage . We get beat too many times on outside containment...(late passes in the AL game)

Prospects: Washington, D. Jackson and 2 more speed rush guys with size.

DBs - Just need to sign 4 every year (2015-2017)
We have been making some good selections as of late. Need to sign kids who can tackle as well as cover. They need to be able to do both, not one dimensional(cover) like some of the guys we have now. I like the way Adams plays. We need more guys with that "killer"-(to tackle) in the secondary.

Voorhies, Battle, Paris, Tolliver, Gage, Jefferson, and Lewis...stand up!!

Stay on top DBU!

Now we are on top with RBU!!

Could be the best group of RBs in the nation...wow!

Williams, Fournette, Guice, Ducre, Mouton, Brossette, D. White and Melvin Jones.

All will be picked in the top 1-3 rounds of the NFL Draft. Just need some OL to block for them.

IF we can get the OL up to national standards. I can see us playing in at least 2-3 National Championship games over the next 5 years.

And if we make all of the above upgrades. We could be in 4 of the next 6 championship games by the end of 2020.

Finish up with 2015

12 more spots left...who do we need (in no order):
1-Lanard Fournette - 5'10 180, Ath
2-Justin Reid - 6'2 185, SS, FS
3-Jerry Tillery- 6'5 315, OL or Cody Ford 6'4 320, OL LINK
4-Arthur McGinnis 6'2 225, LB or Jamal Peters 6'3 200 SS, LB
5-Jalen Bates 6'5 235, DE,TE LINK(maybe the next Blockers)
6-Donate Jackson 5'11 180, CB/Ath
7-By. Mouton 6'2 240, FB, TE
8-Kirk Merrit 5'11 200, WR,Ath
9-Ty Johnson 6'1 190, WR or Carlos Strickland 6'4 200
10-Des. Raymond 6'1 185, CB, FS

Last 2 picks are sleepers
11- Bryce Jones 6'2 202 LB (Livonia) LINK or Cody Ford 6'4 320 (NFL-Guard)or George Lea 6'3 260, DT
12-Tyrell Jacobs 6'4 260 DT (Rummel) LINK or Joe Anderson 6'4 235 LB,TE,DE

I think with the other 13 commitments on the book and adding these to the class. LSU is in great shape for the future. These guys bring a lot of size and speed to the table.

You don't always need all 5 Star players to win a National Championship. You need the right ingredients and coaching to make the formula work.

Add another strong 2016 class behind this one and there you go, solid, solid and National Championships in the near future!!

Oh, and don't forget about 2017. We have some great prospect in that one too (Moses, Narcisse, Early, Bruce Jordan, Baham).

I really like Cody Ford, Bryce Jones and Tryell Jacobs. I would like to see them in the 2015 class.

Calling on Ford, B. Jones, Jacobs, McGinnis..guys please go to camp. We need you to get the offer and commit.

What do you think?
These are some of the guys who I think LSU needs to recruit hard[if they have grades]:

1) Cody Ford 6'4 315 OG - Pineville - I think he is one of the top OG in the nation. Super talent! Don't know why he does not have a LSU offer. LINK

2) Stephen Guidry 6'3 175 WR - Pointe Coupee - Great speed with huge upside. Not as good as Johnson [similar] but could be a good backup plan. We need a SPEED guy on the perimeter in 2015. LINK

3) Andrew Hicks 6'3 200 QB Belle Chase - OMG this state is so loaded!! This kid is just as good if not better that Harris. He can run and pass. Has great QB presence in the pocket. Watch the flight of the ball in his video. I think we take him. He is one of the best DT-QBs in the country. LINK

4) Charlie Matthews 6'1 290 DT Airline HS - Kid is a "beast". I am sure you know who is after him. Kid has the heart of a "Tiger". Why not be one? We need his heart and desire to be apart of the movement. He is 2 times better than OJ Smith. LINK

5) Deshon Ficklin 6'2 215 FB/HB Natchitoches Central - I like guys as a FB. He can block and catch. If he gets up to about 235-240, he would be a steal. They also have a 2016 QB who will be highly recruited as well. You never know how friendship work these days. LSU needs to get up there and check them out. LINK

6) Rodney Rollins 6'3 210 MLB - Loyola Prep - Kid can really play! One of the best LBs in the state. Long, rangy kid who could play at 235 and be a "beast". Would like to have him in the 2015 class. LSU, check on him quickly! LINK

7) Hunter Register 6'4 190 FS - Comeaux HS - Kid is a SEC player. This is our FS for the 2015 class. I think we take him. He has tremendous upside. LINK

Others
Keeyon Smart 6'5 300 OT/OG McKinley LINK
Oshea Dugas 6'5 300 OT Northside LINK

We could go on and on about Louisiana talent...it is so loaded! I really don't think we need to go OOS for much in 2015. Its all right here! Just have to go get them.

Do you have a sleeper in mind?
