re: Les, Jimbo, Nick, Mora, Bielema & JC

You all have some great football players in Louisiana and Mora and UCLA intend to make sure that NOLA's become part of the UCLA pipeline. All of our key recruits, throughout the country have been visited by the full coaching contingent. Don't expect to get everyone we are recruiting this year, since LSU is a great FB school, and I'm told the SEC has one or two other good schools, but one or two from LA would be a nice get for us in 2014. Coaches are already on the 2015 and 2016 classes.
Talk to you again February 4!
Let's talk again on February 4!

I agree with your point, but the class rankings haven't proven to matter at all since Cade McNown left school. The coaches were bad and they didn't develop the players, for the most part. On NSD we would have scholies that had not been accepted by anyone, even the two stars and three stars that we regularly offered.

I suspect you don't really know anything about SoCal, but would you please post the name of the restaurant where the girls walk around nude all the time? I have some free time tomorrow!

You are correct in some respects. We are landlocked in very expensive real estate. We don't have vast, open cheap dirt to use to construct facilities. And yet we currently have quality facilities on a magnificent campus with an extraordinary academic opportunity. On top of at, our most recent Pac12 TV deal, and league expansion has provided us with sufficient funds to pay to compete for the best coach and assistants in the country, and a $50,000,000 football only training facility is underway. I agree we will have something nicer to show recruits in three years. In the meantime, we are going to do very well, especially with some of those Louisiana, Alabama and Texas guys on our roster docking up the Cali sun.

USC is no longer a school without academic creds. I still hate the school, and I think anybody, athlete or scholar, that chooses to go to USC has made a very poor life's decision, but you have to give them props for the academic strides they have made in 20 years. Still, they are not UCLA, CAL, or STANFORD.

You know very little about Jim Mora, the man or the coach.

Not entirely true. Recruiting classes under the prior three coaches had rosters full of any guy that would accept an offer. One of the scout guys estimated about one half of Neuheisel's team were guys that should never see the playing field. Coaching was poor, and the administration didn't pay the coaches like top teams. That has all changed. Get ready to deal with us every year.

See Woodman, this is where you are just tremendously misinformed, and rely on stereotypes about our great( albeit sprawling) metropolis. We love our cars and we love our freeways, and we are as used to traffic as you are used to the occasional hurricane. Doesn't stop us from living a great life, and once a recruit compares UCLA to any other place in the USA we will get a very favorable look. Our football has been mediocre for the past 15 years, but that has all changed in the last two. Nobody has a better coaching staff top to bottom, and the administration now supports the football team more than ever before. You will see us again, as will those tremendous Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida recruits.

We gave a great coaching staff, a great school, a great location and we are on the rise. I can remember back to when LSU was a nothing football school that suddenly burst onto the national scene to challenge for national championships. My attitude about LSU was about the same as your inquiry about UCLA. Our coaches recognize that SEC country has some great football talent, and we are going to set up recruiting operations and see if some of those great 4and 5 star future NFLers wouldn't like to spend a little time playing football in beautiful weather surrounded by beaches and beautiful coeds. The Louisiana 4 will be on campus the weekend before signing day, and we hope to entice a couple of your guys to help us get into the Natty picture. I'm very confident in our chances. By the way, you all have a few juniors we're goin' to invite out next year. See you soon in that final four! By the way, I absolutely love Nawlins and all those great restaurants. You definitely got something going on.
