TorNation how can I send you my email?
I agree I like the r and r setup but I live in CO so no chance of getting it shipped my way. Plus I have the ability build one just need to know how far pot is away from the burner.

Anyone have pictures of their setup and how burner is mounted.

Roll around jambalaya pot owners.

All of you that own roll around jambalaya pots how far from the burner does the pot sit. Also how is the burner attached to the roll Around stand? I am looking to build a roll around stand for my 15 gallon pot. I am in the metal industry and have some great fabricators available. Need some advice on distance etc.

Oh using bg14 banjo propane burner

Thanks

re: Moving to Colorado?

Just moved from Lakeview to Boulder area and cost of living about the same. Taxes and insurance is really low but housing is higher so it equals out. People and culture are a little different but overall great place to live. Going from below sea level to mile high can be an adjustment for some.

Thanks guys. I am originally from Indiana but live in Colorado now. I actually have the 15 gallon setup and bought it locally on Craigslist for $120. I will mostly you it for jambalaya pastalaya and maybe try to make cracklings. I will probably upgrade my regulator once I have some experience with it.
Anyone else live in Colorado?

Thanks for the help and Geaux Tigers!!
Well I finally got the Jambalaya setup. It is this setup LINK

It came with a crappy regulator. Should I get the 30psi regulator to go with this burner/setup?

To season I think I am just going to use oil and and possibly bacon fat. Any suggestions for a pot this size?

Thanks for the help.

What extras?? Didn't see anything.

By the way jambalaya is awesome.
I got it locally from someone selling. I will post pictures later.

For cracklings what do I ask the butcher for since I am not in Louisiana? What oil do you use?

I got a 15 gallon pot with burner and stand. I know I need hooks to lift pot but what other items do I need. What paddle should I get? Also do I need the bayou spoon? What is recommended? Will order from amazon.

What else can I cook besides jambalaya?

First Brisket WSM Tips

Posted by HoosierTiger31 on 7/16/14 at 12:22 pm
Going to do my first brisket on the WSM 18.5 this weekend any tips. What rub should I use? Wood? Inject or no injection?

Thanks for the help
Probably go with both the pot stand and burner and try them out. Then eventually build a rolling metal stand
Then what does everyone use to hold up there pots? What stand is best?

I know r and r is the best but don't have that option right now
How far does the burner need to be away from pot?
I will have to give them a call and see what they recommend.

Thanks
Any accessories or websites to check out for the WSM?

Probably going with 22.5
I like the R and R but live in Colorado so I don't think they will ship that far without costing an arm and a leg.

Could I use this burner and prop it up to work with this stand?
What burner do you recommend with this setup?
May not go with the link listed. I have a lead on one year old 22.5 for 250.

Anything need to look for on these when buying used.
Great news I think I will go with this pot and the banjo burner.

Next step building a rolling stand like R and R

Thanks for all your help.
Is $250 a good price for 22.5" wsm?. 1 year old

TR
Great to hear will probably get it.

Where is the best place to get lid, spoon, paddle?
Thanks again for the craigslist listing.

Who else would rather have 22.5" vs 18.5"?

Tom
Is this a good deal? Looks a little rough.

Don't know much about bbq guru?
Live near Boulder,CO. Figured amazon would be best since CO doesn't charge tax at amazon.

Thanks

Tom

Anyone build a propane firepit?

re: Is this a good Jambalaya Pot?

Posted by HoosierTiger31 on 5/14/14 at 10:06 am to
I probably use it for tailgates and some family get together. I figured it was better to buy a little larger than 4,5 gallon pot. Plus I believe this is a good price for the setup and I can use gift cards.

Is this a good burner? Can this be used for home brewing too?
