To be fair, 2007 was a really weak year for college football, but a really strong year for the SEC, IMO.
So I wouldn't say it takes anything away from LSU that year. ...

It's weird b/c I think Troy Smith was actually a superior college player to Mark Ingram, but was less deserving based on the other candidates that year, vs. Ingram's year.
Ingram basically benefitted from a shitty year of candidates (except for Suh, i can't quite remember if that was Suh's big y...
