Good no call. 29 didn’t even see the receiver til last second. Eyes focused solely on football.

Isaiah Canion. 6’4” 215 receiver from GT has committed. Had about 500 and 6 td this year. Good Colby replacement

I kinda see why. The coaches apparently love Rasean Dinkins who filled in for Aguero when he was hurt and for whatever reason, either he or the coaches didn’t want to move him to safety beside KJ. Therefore, we pick up Khalil Barnes who is likely to take the safety spot and Aguero would have been in a battle with Dinkins for star minutes.

6’4” 215 receiver. I’d take him and I think we’re trying to get him.

It’d be cool but I remember half the reason he left was he hated recruiting. Can’t imagine he wants to dive back in with even more turnover roster wise year to year than ever before.

I appreciate what he did. He was solid in pass pro but he’d been on campus for like 3 years and still was only shoutout 295-300 so he struggled run blocking. In other words, I doubt he was starting next year unless there are injuries. Can’t blame a backup for transferring.
re: Cash Jones

I mean this can’t possibly be accurate because at the very least Cash is the designated QB protector out of shotgun. So every formation and play out of shotgun in which a rb stays in to block or delays and then goes out to be the check down is him. We have a large litany of plays from shotgun with a rb in to block or receive.
The problem isn’t that. It’s when we gave Cash the ball it tended to FEEL way too obvious. People say all the time that coordinators have to call by feel. Get the feel of the game. Feel like the defense is going to do X so they can call Y. Bobo had a great year overall but it felt like his FEEL for when to actually use Cash v when not to was off.

I’ll take it. Would have started next to KJ all year ahead of Kyren and Jacorey.

Tush push. Qb power twice. Anything to keep them burning timeouts and bleed clock in case it doesn’t work. Hell. If we do that I’d have been in favor of going for it on 4th down and win or lose right there
re: I want an offensive overhaul
Posted by claydawg09 on 1/2/26 at 1:35 am to FlexDawg
Kirby always says when he’s asked about Monken or Bobo that they run theb”Georgia Offense”. That’s fine. Obviously with the talent we had in 21 and 22 and Stetson’s strengths v Gunner’s you can do different things and the offense will look different. Fine. My problem is our offense has to have these damn 4 and 5 stars playing like it at every position to work. Ole Miss has really good skill talent but their O line isn’t great, yet they move the ball at will. That’s because their offense is diverse and doesn’t have to have all 5 of them absolutely dominate in order to work. It’s harder and harder these days to obtain the guys at every position we need for the “Georgia Offense” to work. Why not adjust/ adapt and see what happens?

Or just quit the clutching of pearls about making the old “BCS bowls” meaningful and keep it at 12 with the first 2 rounds being at home sites and the semis and natty being rotating neutral sites.
Edit to add keep it at 12 and move the timeline up a week or more.

Too aggressive there. Too conservative before half. We were beaten in the margins once again.
First round bye
Posted by claydawg09 on 1/1/26 at 11:14 pm
To be clear, this is NOT an excuse. It’s up to our staff to figure it tf out. God knows they’re paid well enough to do so. But it’s pretty clear that at the very least, the first round bye in the CFP isn’t helpful. We were playing with a certain rhythm against Texas, fought through GT, then played well against Bama. I just can’t imagine a month off helping a team at all. 1-7 is now the record for teams earning a first round bye. I think either the calendar for the playoff needs to be adjusted or we need to just cross our fingers we get in the CFP without a bye. Idk man. It’s obvious at this point that it has some negative effect. I’m not blaming it. We sucked in certain areas all on our own. But we just looked odd to me.

I think it’s safe to say the “defensive turnaround” wasn’t as significant as was stated. We got a hair better but played some bad offenses back half of the season.

Second year in a row we’ve been outcoached and outplayed in NOLA. Ironically Freeling gets blown by again.

It doesn’t matter if he leads with his helmet. He launched and hit the receiver square in the head. It was a dumbass play by Thomas. More so than losing him you just put them in fg range.

Edwards is the only 1K guy. Some guy from the 80s or something has the receptions record.

Branch wasn’t cheap but he was largely untapped. Coleman is proven. And an X. They cost more than slots and same with Branch, he’ll be a junior next year so if he has a good year you’re paying a lot for a 1 year rental. Should be interesting.

I know. But “Georgia is an early school to watch” screams “A source tells us Georgia contacted this kid”. That’s my point. They contact almost every breathing player in the portal. We gauge interest in lots of guys. Did last year too. I wouldn’t mind grabbing this kid at all for a decent price. But I’m not too concerned with “Early reports”.

Idc about any portal interest until I see a legit source saying we’re serious with it. We legitimately vet and or chat with essentially every portal entry whether they’re likely to come here or not.

Harris has turf toe. You can either have surgery and be out 2-3 months or not have surgery and fight through the pain as much as you can. If you live as a normal human with no surgery you’re looking at 4-6 months of rest for it to “go away”. Harris will be limited but play as much as he can would be my guess.
