Gulf Shores Fishing Charter?

Posted by Pearneax on 5/11/12 at 1:00 pm
family wants to do a deep sea fishing trip in mid-july while in gulf shores. any recs on charters?

also, i hear red snapper season may be ending early (around july 10?) but it could change. any word on that? we're not going until the week afterwards. if snapper season is closed, is it even worth it go?

what is the exact time of kickoff for the SEC championship game? does coverage start at 3pm or is kickoff at 3pm? TIA

 board members and independent auditors are not corporate officers. if that is truly how the question was worded, the answer would be D.

les miles = forrest gump?

was that movie loosely based on les miles? i see a lot of similarities. both are slow-witted and not articulate, yet extremely likeable with many catch phrases and the luckiest MF-ers in the world. :dunno:
i have not seen this addressed yet, but on 2nd and goal with 26 seconds left you do not call a running play with no timeouts. at that point in the game you have 3 plays to score. take advantage of all 3 plays. running on second down and failing calls for you to spike the ball thereby wasting one of your scoring opportunities. so you only have 2 plays to score instead of three. pass the ball on 2nd and 3rd down. if you want to run, you do it on 4th down.

When did this happen? Hasn't happened at LSU.

i know it hasn't happened at lsu....neither did saban losing to ULM. however, i see that argument on here.

point is, that if you are going to argue coaching, don't use the fact that a coach lost to a sub-par team once or twice as your reasoning. it happens to all of them.

miles lost to la tech...

....so in the coaching debate, the argument that 'at least miles never lost to UAB or ULM' is moronic. i see that comment on here all the time. i don't care if you like or dislike miles, just please stop using the argument that one coach is better than another just because they may have lost to a sub-par once or twice in their coaching career. it makes you look like a jackass.

would you positigers please stop with this? this is the worst argument i hear about why miles is a good coach. is it supposed to make me believe that miles is a better coach than saban? it makes you look like a jackass. what is your point with it? did you know that miles lost to la tech?

re: Tell my why LSU beats WVU

because we have a sincere want to win the game. wvu may have a want to win the game, but it's not as sincere as ours.

Can you define, please, in detail what 'idiotic' coaching you witnessed in these games?

Don't give me generalities, give me the specifics and try to leave out the sarcasm. Maybe you can convince me...?

wtf? is this guy serious? does this guy speak for all positigers?

As Kiffin was quoted: "It's a difficult loss to deal with," Kiffin said. "You come into a hostile environment and play the No. 1 team in the country, as I said before by far the No. 1 team in the country and the best-coached team around. You come in here and outgain them by [nearly] 100 yards and miss three field goals. I don't believe in moral victories, we should have won that game."

same thing most of the coaches from teams we beat could have said about us (except the best coached part)

But I'm willing to bet that there aren't a lot of negaGumps.

why would there be as they have a competent coach?

This is why I have hope for this season. 9 wins with one of the worst O's in the nation. How many wins do we have with a top 50 offense?

maybe we get there, but after the first performance, i don't think we will be top 50. 300 total yards is close to last year.

my bad. but they still went undefeated and won the NC. i expect some games to come down to the wire and you obviously need some luck. however, seems like we have to rely on good luck just be above .500

This goes for all teams. Ask a bama fan how tight there asses were during the UT, LSU, and AU games. Could have and should have lost all of those. A little bit of luck is not a bad thing.

the UT game was a national championship game (which they won!). please don't use that as a comparison. a little bit of luck is great thing. i just hate having to hope for it every game just to pull out a win. i would rather win in dominating fashion because we have way more talent than the other team.

Did you actually use the he had a young QB excuse to take up for Meyer? That door swings both ways.

yes, because that young QB went on to win a couple of national championships and heisman trophy. just a hunch, but i don't think JJ will obtain either of those. just because JJ plays like a young QB doesn't make him one. that is one of the coaching problems miles most people are talking about.

The public speaking part, I heard several interviews this summer that he handled perfectly. Admit it if he had won 10 or 11 games last year this would not even be a topic except for the people that just out right hate him.

but he didn't win 10 or 11 games last season, mainly because of some of his inadequacies (e.g. clock management). also, many of those wins were ugly and could have gone the other way.

i actually like his speaking. makes me laugh. he is the george w. bush of college coaching.

Refresh my memory but didn't CUM have a 5 loss season with TIMMAY at the helm. Criticism should be handed out equally but the rant can't see past it's on stupidity.

yes, he did. and i remember this argument/discussion with friends, as well as seeing it posted on the rant. wasn't that tebow's first full year running that offense and didn't they win the national championship the following year? completely different situation.

positigers instantly lose credibility when they try to compare miles to saban and meyer
"Um, it was pretty important. If called a fumble, the game is over right there."

um...not if it really wasn't a fumble. any questionable call under two minutes will be reviewed from the booth. doesn't matter if the clock showed 0:00 (which it didn't). so your counterpoint sucks.

look, it's a ridiculous debate anyway. the original poster's scenario is as stupid as the first and second 2pt conversion fade route. wait, actually the second 2pt fade might be worse than this 'scenario'
