"I think Arch Manning is is the real deal, right," McCoy said on "The Triple Option." "I've spent some time with him. Obviously he's got the last name, the pedigree, all those things. But the the kid works really, really hard. He's really smart, and I think you know it's a credit to him for sticking around... really kind of buying his time to be the starter at Texas."
McCoy, who recently joined FOX Sports as a Big Ten analyst, went on to share some advice to young passers in today's game. He believes its best to stick with your initial destination and wait for your turn like what Manning has done in Austin.
"I just look at the quarterbacks that performed the best week one and across the board it seems like those are the guys that kind of waited their time," McCoy said.
