MEMPHIS – Behind the guard trio of Wade Taylor IV, Manny Obaseki and Tyrece Radford, the Texas A&M men's basketball team rolled to a record-setting 98-83 victory over the eighth-seeded Nebraska Cornhuskers in first-round NCAA Tournament action on Friday at FedExForum.

With the victory, the ninth-seeded Aggies advanced to the second round of the NCAAs for the first time since 2018 and will face the winner of Friday's late game between top-seeded Houston and Longwood on Sunday. The Aggies improved to 21-14 on the season, while the Cornhuskers ended their season at 23-11.

Junior Wade Taylor IV connected on an NCAA Tournament school-record seven 3-pointers on his way to 25 points with five assists to lead the way, but he had plenty of help as junior Manny Obaseki and graduate Tyrece Radford chipped in 20-plus points with 22 and 20 and two more Aggies scored in double figures. Junior Jace Carter scored 13 points, including 11 in the second half, and senior Henry Coleman III had 10.
