Georgia AG Urges SEC To Take 'All Measures Available' Against LSU

The ongoing battle between LSU and the SEC over former professional players took another turn Wednesday when Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr publicly called for the conference to take action against the Tigers.

Carr urged SEC commissioner Greg Sankey to take action if LSU moves forward with players the conference considers ineligible, including the possibility of suspending or removing LSU from the SEC.

Carr's comments came one day before Thursday's preliminary injunction hearing in Baton Rouge, which could determine whether the SEC remains blocked from enforcing its eligibility rules and associated penalties.

"I urge Commissioner Sankey and the SEC to take all measures available to enforce its rules and protect the integrity of college athletics," Carr said, according to ESPN.
quote:

"It is no coincidence that the very institution set to potentially use this temporary order to flout the SEC's rule is in the trial court's own backyard."

The SEC declined comment.

Carr encouraged the SEC "to take all measures available to address this conduct, up to and including suspension and/or removing LSU from the Conference."

"Conference members have the freedom to associate with institutions committed to following NCAA and Conference rules," Carr wrote. "No institution should be allowed to ignore the obligations of Conference membership while continuing to receive the benefits of membership."
LSU has maintained that it will comply with whatever SEC rules are ultimately enforceable, with head coach Lane Kiffin saying this week that the Tigers are awaiting clarity from the court and conference.

If Georgia continues to elect for left Senators that emulate Hasan Piker’s policies. I submit to you Georgia is no longer a southern state. Put Georgia out of the SEC and allow them to join the Ivy league where they belong. Period.

You think the UA's decision to go after LSU has something to do with the woke left in GA? Did you two start your own conversation that no one else can see?
