I second that. The only problem is that staying on the west side of Zion, where they'll be, significantly increases the drive time to Bryce. If you want to do both Zion and Bryce, staying somewhere in the vicinity of the Hwy 89 and14 intersection is ideal. It puts you about an hour or so from each park. I stayed just outside of Alton the first time and then in Duck Creek Village this last spring.

I'm headed to Moab(Spanish Valley) this fall to do Arches and Canyonlands and that will complete all 5 for me.
