Modena is a great little city. If you can’t book a reservation at Massimo Bottura’s restaurant Osteria Francescana then book a night at his small hotel (which guarantees a seating at its restaurant, which serves the classics from his world-famous restaurant in town). The hotel is amazing and worth a stay in its own right. You can tour his garage and check out his Ferraris and Ducatis. The night we stayed there, Massimo and his wife showed up and it was amazing.
