As alluded to earlier in this thread, there is so much to see and do in the towns around Fredericksburg, it’s not worth the hassle to stay there. Day trip it if you need to go there. We have stayed in Boerne, Blanco, Wimberley, and outside Kerrville. Add going to Johnson City or Comfort to the list too. All fun towns that you can easily reach Fredericksburg in under an hour or so.

We're going in Mid November and staying on Main Street. It's about a 7 hour drive from Lafayette. Looking forward to it. Never been.

You can walk with an open container on main St which is rare for Texas.

Freddiesburg is lame as fuk. Fly into Austin and hit the little gems of towns all the way to San Antonio. Skip FBurg
