Considering alcohol is less in play, fast casual prevails in Provo. That said, there are a few solid sit down options that all serve alcohol: Black Sheep, Communal, Block are the big 3. I assume you will be in town for the ark-byu game, and all three of these spots are in close proximity to the stadium. The Happy Sumo does sushi with alcohol options as well. Via 313 in Orem and Fat Daddy’s are both solid pizza options. Grab a kolache at Hruska’s Saturday before the game.

2 bars in Provo, both on Center Street: City Limits and ABG Libations.

Primary activity in Provo is getting outside and enjoying altitude. Rock Canyon is a great hike in Provo. 30 min away is Sundance resort. Unspeakably gorgeous drive on the way, complete the entire Alpine loop. Fall foliage will be prime.

Provo Farmer’s Market on Saturday morning is also nice.

High West Distillery in Park City is elite. Also incredible wings at Bok Bok in Provo, as well as Sushi 38 in Orem.

Plenty to do 45 min north in SLC. Red Iguana for Mexican is that good. Try the mole dishes. I’m a big fan of White Horse for food and drink. I also highly recommend walking thru SLC library - place is architecturally amazing. State Capital building is gorgeous, and some of the LDS temples are visually cool. Oktoberfest will still be ongoing at nearby Snowbird ski resort.

Bout Time in Vineyard and Strap Tank Brewery in nearby Springville are both viable drinking options as well.
