Travel Seasons and Hotel Prices Going Forward?

Part travel and part political, but with the recent SCOTUS announcement and resumption of student loans, do you think that will finally help with some of the out of control hotel prices?
We all know hotel prices have gotten crazy since people started traveling again in late 2021 and early 2022. Between people taking trips in 2022 that were delayed from 2020 and 2021, people having increased savings due to the pandemic funds (enhanced unemployment, PPP, etc.) and people not having to worry about hundreds of dollars a month for student loans, it's been a perfect storm.
Heck nowadays even on road trip you'll see Holiday Inn Express's, Hampton Inn's, Courtyard's and Hilton Garden Inn's for $200/night and up just off the interstate in the middle of nowhere. Even Comfort Inn's are easily going for $150-$200/night off the interstate. It's genuinely absurd.
Plus ever since the pandemic there doesn't seem to be a down time anymore. People are traveling at all times now.
With the resumption of student loan payments a lot of Americans now will suddenly have several hundred dollars a month (possibly more) now unavailable as that money goes to pay for the student loans. As Americans have to watch the budget more typically vacations are the first thing to do.
Will the resumption of student loan payments cause us to go back to more traditional travel where there are specific travel seasons (Summer, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break) with slow seasons in between those peak seasons? Will hotel prices start to go down to more moderate levels?
Not saying I expect the prices to go back to pre-pandemic or pandemic levels (several times during the pandemic I traveled and were getting Hilton properties like Hampton Inns and Hilton Garden Inns for $70-$80/night) but I kind of hope this starts to cool down the travel market again.

Short answer is No. I can't see prices going down.
I used to go to Las Vegas about twice a year, staying at places like MGM, Paris, or Harrah's. Those properties are now averaging over $200/night. If you want to stay over a weekend, expect to pay $250-300/night (plus, of course the "resort fees" of $50/night.).
I can't go during the week because of work, but I used to like a nice 3 or 4 day holiday weekend in LV. And I could usually get room on the strip and flight for under $1000. Nearly impossible now. Also, try to fly back to BR on a Sunday and get a decently timed/priced flight ( I don't fly Southwest, so I don't know about them).
