This is probably a long shot, but anyone been to Borneo?

That's a long way to go for that to be the highlight
There's another one as well but looks about the same.
I hope you're going to a cool beach, waterfall or something around this.
Unique destination though. Hope you go. BTW I've read Brunei sucks, so maybe skip that.

Went to Kota Kinabalu a few years ago. It was pretty good.

I was supposed to go last July with some friends on a birding trip. It's now going to be August of next year. A stay next to the orangutan refuge is a part of it. Borneo looks pretty cool, hopefully it comes off some day.
ETA - Kota Kinabalu is the airport - I found the best way to get there as of last year was to fly to Kuala Lumpur and then catch a cheap flight over to Kota Kinabalu. We're going to spend a few days seeing Kuala Lumpur as well. Looks like some nice beaches around Kota Kinabalu. We'll probably spend a couple of days on Mantanani Island which isn't too far away. And do some hiking at Mount Kinabalu. It's over 13,000 feet high and not far from Kota Kinabalu, should be pretty impressive.
