2 hours to Denali National Park. Would spend all day there. 2 hours seems like a lot of driving, but it's not.
Also, it'll be like 18hrs of sunlight while y'all are there and get night for like 3-4 hours. It's different for sure.
This is down by Seward, in the Kenai Peninsula. So it would be pretty far from Fairbanks. Taken last month

I have not been to Chenai Springs, but I did ride the train up to Fairbanks, and it was a good trip. However, it was November, so I'm not sure about reservations.
I suggest taking the train up and back, or one way, and flying from Fairbanks to Anchorage. Rent a car in Fairbanks. I Ubered to the airport, rented a car, and returned it there on my flight back to Anchorage. There is a modest museum at the University of Anchorage Fairbanks that was decent. Maybe a 2-3 hour visit.

Of these I would pick Valdez
Agree on Valdez. Homer and Seward are easier if you’re starting out in Anchorage and some people are into the touristy stuff. The kenai is crowded this time of year but it’s big enough to find your own spot. Palmer lakes trail and Ptarmigan Lake are 2 of the prettiest trails you can drive to and you won’t see many people. The public beach on turnagain arm off Hope hwy is a great place to car camp and watch the tide.

bottomless strip clubs too if yall are into that.
Case by case basis. I don't know if that would be my type of thing in the great white north.

TBH the menu was much larger than I thought.
They have a wicked tuna selection.

Chena Hot Springs is nice. About an hour drive from Fairbanks I believe.
The University has a cool museum too. Also one on the Chena river in front of the Marriott.
