Thinking of going for a couple of weeks in October.
Anyone ever been? Trying to figure out if it makes sense to stay in a specific area as a home base.

Many times. Yes, stay in a specific area then take day trips. It’s not a big place, so there are a lot of small villages that you’ll notice along the way and want to stop. The obvious are Bibery, and Bourton on the water.
