Thinking about booking a room in November. I would be happy with a couple restaurants and dive bars. Everything I see on vrbo gives off strange vibes.

Nice place if you want a low key, Old Florida vacation. The Plantation on the western end is the more upscale part. Not that familiar with the restaurants on the island, but there are some nice places in Apalachicola. Apalachicola is a great little town.

It's one of my favorite places. Very laid back. You can go up to the state park and have wide open beaches mostly to yourself.

For restaurants you have The Blue Parrot - good seafood place; Paddy's Raw Bar - self explanatory but good oysters done a variety of ways; Harry A's - was a dive but upgraded, I like the burgers there - they do seafood but are a step below the Blue Parrot. There's a Subway and good ice cream shop, and a couple of others that I just don't know.

Plenty of very nice restaurants in Apalachicola which isn't too far and worth a visit.
