Wet Season is May to November

I've never been during Wet Season but I'm told it's cheaper then.

Good luck, Costa Rica is beautiful.

I'd fly into Liberia, CR (LIR Airport Code)

Looks like around $900 pp on SWA.

Just got back from CR 10 days ago. Was an amazing trip. We flew into Liberia and rented a car. We drove inland to Arenal volcano for few days (crazy drive, but doable) and then spent a few day in Tamarindo. Arenal was something to see but I preferred the coast. Tamarindo is a busy little town with great food and shopping. There are so many little beach towns up and down the coast. Tamarindo beach itself is beautiful, but as others are saying, it's a more of a dark sanded surfing beach. We also went to Playa Conchal for a day, which is a blue water crushed shell beach that I would like to visit again someday. The drive from Liberia to the pacific coastal towns is a pretty easy drive.
