Happy Tuesday everyone! Just got an email jetblue and southwest are having a sale and when looking further, saw that a lot of these deals are good for spring and some for summer. Spring is mostly now through the end of April, the summer sales (like to Boston) are from May to the end of August. For the posters in the last thread I made looking to get to dublin in June, the best option I'm seeing is either on WOW Air out of Newark/ Baltimore for $490 or Aer Lingus out of Philly for $635. Connect on southwest/spirit to BWI or Frontier to PHL and you'd be set. I'll post some deals below, if you have any questions please let me know

Nola to:

Boston: $190 on American, Delta, United, Jetblue, Southwest now through the last week of August. I don't think I've ever seen sub $200 fares for this route especially during peak season in June and August. Would book now if you're planning a trip to Boston this summer.

Philly: $139 on American. The dates are very sporadic but go from now through the end of April.

Chicago: $89 on United, $97 on spirit, $150 on southwest, $184 on Delta. The dates are mostly tuesdays/saturdays, but this deal goes all the way through June on United. Southwest's deals only go to the end of February : (

Las Vegas: $116 on United, $160 on spirit. It looks like the deal on united is for a few weeks in middle of March and then again in May. A one-way flight is only $58, that's a steal Example

San Francisco: $257 on United or Virgin America. This is usually over $300 or $400, glad to see it priced reasonable finally. Now through the end of March

Manchester, NH: $213 on American, $224 on Delta. Now through the middle of May. Good spot to fly to for a summer northeast trip

Portland, ME: $213 on American, $264 on Delta. Now through the middle of May

Ft. Lauderdale: $95 on Spirit, $116 on United, $157 on Jetblue, $174 on Delta. This is pretty much good through the end of summer

Orlando: $77 on Frontier, $128 on Southwest, $144 on Delta, $152 on United. This goes to the beginning of June on all of the airlines, southwest has one-way fares at $91 for late june if anyone is making a disney trip then

Denver: $111 on Frontier, $200 on United. There's a few random cheap dates on united, but for the most part it averages around $200. The frontier dates are mostly tuesday departures in late february through early may

Anchorage, Alaska: $523 on Delta in April and May. $453 from Baton Rouge to Anchorage on American in March or April

Honolulu: $621 on United now through the middle of May. Not as many options as last week's sale to Hawaii, but still good

Cleveland: $104 on Allegiant, $113 on American. Now through the middle of May

Austin: $77 on Frontier. Tuesday departures February through late April

Montreal: $237 on Delta. Tuesday/Wednesday departures now through the end of April

Columbus, OH: $100 on Spirit (nonstop), $127 on American or United. This is the surprise of the day to me, had no idea that spirit flew from new orleans to Columbus nonstop. Even still, $127 on American or United to get up there is a steal. Now through the end of April

Raleigh: $141 on American or United. Now through the middle of May. Cheapest I've seen on this route I think ever, American goes through mid May, United the end of April

As of now, cheap departure dates for MSY-LAS on United are:
Feb 21, 27
March 6, 7, 13, 20
May 15, 16, 30
June 6

Cheap return dates for LAS-MSY are:
Feb 27, 28
March 3, 6, 7, 13, 20, 27
April 3, 10, 17, 24
May 1, 5, 8, 9, 12, 15, 16, 22, 23, 26, 30

How far out should I look at booking BTR to KEF? I've seen some online recommendations not to book more than 150 days in advance. Your thoughts?

Thanks.

When are you traveling? The price is about $1000 now to the end of booking which to me really isn't that bad from here. I didn't know American was starting a nonstop DFW-KEF but from Baton Rouge that's your only 1 stop connection option. However, more than likely you can get some cheap tickets to NYC or Boston then continue the rest of the way at a cheaper cost. If new orleans is an option as a departing airport, we can probably find you nola- baltimore/newark/jfk/boston/chicago- KEF for below the $1000

I'm still hoping to find a cheap-is flight for my wife and I to go to a wedding in Ireland. Wedding is June 23 and looking at trying to get 5 or 6 days there

Is WOW-Air like Spirit/Frontier?

Wow thanks for this thread. I am in Houston, so not exact matches, but I was still able to snag flights for my family to Vegas for $150 each because of this thread.

$908 with an overnight layover in JFK on the way back if you want to leave from MSY LINK

Yeah WOW air is like spirit, but they have decently priced fares out of boston, baltimore and newark. $580 for your dates out of boston $460 out of newark Add in a roundtrip MSY to EWR at say $300 LINK

Norweigan flies out of SWF (Newburgh NY) to KEF for about $419 + luggage LINK

Philly to dublin on aer lingus is $706 roundtrip LINK but then you'd have to find your way up to philly from msy.

I'd say you still have time to browse especially since I haven't seen any spring or summer europe sales yet

BTR to KEF via Dallas on American seems very easy. $975 seemed like a fair deal to me. I've got gear that I can't risk getting lost with multiple stops so I think it's the safest and easiest bet.

Will leave BTR around August 22-23. And will return around September 5-6th. Trying to decide on firm dates in the next week or so.
