St John House/Villa Rentals Recs

Should I be looking in the Cruz Bay or Coral Bay area? Two adults and one young kid. This will be my first trip to St John, but I've stayed in the BVI.

Get a condo at Grande Bay in Cruz Bay. You can take the bus to the beaches once everything is open again. With a couple of exceptions every good restaurant on the island is within walking distance.

If any of you are going with kids be sure to hit The Tap Room at Mongoose Junction. Root beer floats so good they'll want one every day.

Rented a nice condo just outside of Cruz bay. It seemed a little nicer than grande bay...has a private pool type stuff. Which car rental service is the best? Or which to avoid?
