Planning a trip to St. John in February of 2025 for just the wife and I, maybe another couple, no kids.

I've done a good bit of research and found some places to stay near coral Bay. We plan to stay 7 nights on St. John.

Couple of questions for those that have been and done boat trips. We want to do a sunset sail and probably one more. The sunset sail is pretty straight forward, but the other I'm up in the air on.

We are planning to snorkel alot from the shore... is a snorkeling trip from a boat going to be much better? Like at the Indians, etc?

Trying to decide if we want our boat day to be snorkel heavy or something more like visiting the Baths and hanging out on Jost Van Dyke at the beach bars.

Part of me wants to make it snorkel heavy cause I think we will see some cooler stuff off shore, but part of me thinks we may have our fill of snorkeling from the St. John shores and may want a more relaxing fun break from that.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Also, any reason to spend one night on St. Thomas? We plan to have a jeep rented to pick up when we land and then ferry it across to St. John.

At. Thomas only exists to get on the ferry and go to St. John.

I think you have a good plan. The snorkeling at The Indians, the aquarium (Norman Island) is very good. Plus if you snorkel the aquarium (or the nearby caves which are blah) you can make a stop at the Willy T. Be forewanred, the Willy T can get very raunchy at times. The Baths are very cool as well and are a swim in, swim out experience so there's so snorkeling there to be done.

Cool thanks.

Bad kitty does a trip to the baths for the swim in/hike... then either the Indians, Norman, or the aquarium for a snorkel stop, then to Jost Van Dyke for a beach bar stop.

Seems like it might be a little rushed at the stops, but encompasses everything. Some said they did it and had about 45 minutes to snorkel at the Indians. About 1.5 for the baths. And plenty of time on Jost, like 2 hours.

I don't really care about going to Jost that much, but it would probably be fun. Everyone seems to include it in there trips.

I'd rather do baths, Indians, and quick stop at Willy T's... but I can't seem to find group trips that do that. If my friends go we could probably do a charter, but a charter for just two is gonna be pretty high.
