I appreciate all of the insight!

We ended up booking an Airbnb in Michigan City. We should be able to accomplish a fair amount on the Friday since we are set to arrive in Chicago around noon CST. Thanks for mentioning the link to the game day activities. That's good to know regarding parking; my wife spoke with the ticket office last week and she was told parking passes go on sale this Thursday. Do you know what the single game price is?

We are Catholic and this is wonderful to hear. My mom will absolutely love this. Appreciate the insight on food (is Eddy street popular with multiple options for food genre?). As we investigate a bit more I'll definitely inquire on more specifics. For now, any advice for south LA residents preparing for South Bend, IN cold weather in November?

So you wouldn’t want to do parking passes; those are for lots mainly for tailgating and will prob be close to $100 (and even more for the two really close lots). If you do the $40 lot (it’s called White Field/White Lot) I mentioned, you’ll just pay it on gameday (you won’t need to worry about that lot filling up).

Eddy Street is basically your typical college main street (though I’m assuming LSU’s is substantially bigger; ND only has 8k undergrad, about 13k undergrad/grad total, which a lot of people don’t realize). I think the only two “sit down” restaurants are the ones I mentioned (Brothers is a chain, basically your typical sports bar-type place and O’Rourkes has an Irish pub vibe). There might be another one or two added there since, I’m not sure. Then they also have a few of your typical college fast-casual places like Chipotle, Five Guys, Blaze, etc. Think they may have added a Canes recently too, but not positive.

Don’t really have much for the weather except to bundle up and (often overlooked) hand warmers are your best friend.

We ended up purchasing a parking pass for I believe Blue Lot/White field for $40. We just didn’t want to be stuck day of game as a precaution. There’s shuttles that’ll bring to and from the lot to the Library circle. Appears that’s roughly a 3-5 minute walk to the stadium. Appreciate the food suggestions! And yes, we are definitely packing hand warmers….I’ll even put them in my shoes
