My wife and I are trying to decide on a location to go skiing in the spring. We are not die hard skiers, so we are looking for a location that offers both skiing and bars/restaurants/atmosphere as well.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

There's a place where the beer flows like wine...

If you can afford it Vail is good for that. So is A-Basin, Breckenridge and Copper Mountain.
If you want to go low key and not high brow look into Wolf Creek, Loveland, or Taos.
If you're feeling adventuruous you can do some winter hiking at Loveland Pass for a totally different experience.

Now that you're on the right board, I'm happy to help! So far this year, jackson hole or whistler have the most snow for skiing. Vail does not have much snow, but has a great town atmosphere. Do you have a passport/ willing to go to whistler/vancouver? It's about $382 to fly into vail from Nola, $349 to Salt Lake, $297 to vancouver, and $398 to Jackson Hole.

Park City, UT has everything you’re looking for.

I'm not usually one to push certain resorts, but I do think whistler may be worth it if you want to get out of the US for a bit. Just looking at their site for winter activities, it looks like they have a lot of things going on LINK. That scandinave spa whistler looks awesome... I've never been there, but only heard good things. Flight wise, it's also going to be reasonably priced to get to since Vancouver is a large city in comparison to some of the small resorts out west like Vail or Jackson Hole.

I love Jackson, but the lines these days. I don’t know if it’s worth it.

We absolutely loved Whistler. Has an amazing village for the atmosphere.

As someone mentioned earlier Park City is what I would recommend based on what you are looking for. Plus the drive from SLC is a lot easier compared from Denver and the mess that is I-70.

Aspen/Snowmass
Snowmass is a very easy Mountain to ski, there iz also a mountain called buttermilk just a few miles up the road that is nothing but greens for beginner skiers. Add in The Nightlife, dining and shopping of Aspen and you guys will be in hog heaven
Something many folks overlook is the time it takes to get to and from the actual ski mountain from your hometown, including flight and drive time. I would suggest you consider that when planning your destination

Second on Whistler. I've been to most resorts in Colorado over the years, and Whistler is something else entirely. Just amazing.

I third Whistler.
Also would recommend Breckinridge as well, if you don’t feel like going to Canada

Park city hands down, 9 resorts within an hour drive and the night life is good.
