Anyone have any success with a secondary market purchase for hotel rooms? My plans have a habit of changing extremely short term so being able to sell my current hotel room purchases or buy someone elses who is in the same situation would be useful. Any advice or recs would be appreciated.

Lol, gtfo.

You want to sublease our hotel room? Why do you think that's allowed?

Since hotels in high demand periods require non-refundable purchases these days, was just curious if there was a website that offers that service. Can't imagine i'm the only person that has been stuck with a $600 hotel room and couldn't get a refund or got a last minute ticket to a game and wants a good place to stay...there's a reason secondary markets for game tickets exist.

But sounds like there isn't anything out there. Which is fine.

Oh I get it, I understand the reasoning.

But it would be like a secondary rental car. There's liability and other issues at hand. A ticket to an event you just hand over the ticket.

That's part of the business of hotels though. That's one of the ways they influence price. Many now offer refundable rates for more, similar to airlines flights.

Which frankly a secondary market for airline tickets would be similar to your idea.

Maybe there's a market out there? IDK.

This is the only thing I could find

LINK /

It's still standing, but looks sketchy. So sounds like this isn't something that makes sense to rely on.
