Just got back Friday after a short trip. We didn't have a bad meal while we were there. Below are a few places I particularly enjoyed:
Tacos & Tequila - This was a short walk from our rental. Good margaritas and Mexican food(both traditional and Americanized options).
B. Matthews - Had brunch here. Food was excellent and they have an interesting drink menu.
Savannah Smokehouse - Counter service BBQ restaurant downtown. Pulled pork and sides were all excellent.
Top Deck: Grabbed a couple of drinks here one evening. Roof top bar with great views of the river.
If you have plans for the beach, it's worth it to me to take the extra time to get to Hilton Head. It's a little better crowd than what you will find at Tybee.
