Haha, when I visited the staircase at first I was like... ummm. Big deal, it just looks like a stairs.

But when I realized it was up without the railings or supports... damn.

That was pretty neat.

I lived in Clovis for three years. It was not until I was invited by my boss that I really appreciated Santa Fe. He had become good friends with multiple Indian artists. That connection worked well. We saw pottery firing using ancient techniques ...and artists at work. Our trips were during Indian Market. The best trip was visiting Red Wings' studio. We were asked to stay after the studio was closed. Wes Studi wandered in ....then the person my wife was anxiously waiting to see. Kevin Kostner arrived to finalize his choices of paintings for his home being built out of town. They were filming Wyatt Earp outside of the city during that time.

A few years later we took my wife's parents to Denver, Durango, Albuquerque, Santa Fe and to the crater in Arizona.

Thanks guys. What are your thoughts on Mesa Verde with kids? My two are 7&11 and I’m not sure if they would get much out of it.

I went to Mesa Verde as either a 7 or 8 year old and I still remember some stuff about it today as a 59 year old. The cliff dwellings were super cool!
