Going to San Diego in the summer.

Are there any particular places to avoid. Don't want to break the bank but I don't want to stay in a sketchy area.

4 adults and a little bitty baby.

TIA

I like Ocean Beach....mostly residential but with restaurants, bars, etc. Close to Sunset Cliffs, the pier, etc

Find out where the current location of the tent city is. It was east of Petco last time I was there.

Make sure you verify the AirBnb you book has AC. Made that mistake there last July.

I used AirBnB. Stayed in Little Italy (mostly a beer/food vacation). Either walked or took a less than $10 Uber ride most of the week. Pretty close to everything. Coranado is also super nice, but not as centrally located.
