Do the Joe Knows Tour. Also sandals will transport you to the other resorts for free. I suggest doing this if you are staying at the Halcyon because the beach at the Grande is awesome. The restaurants at La Toc are better too

I thought I was going to die in st Lucia passing another car on a two lane, winding road.

Yea. They don't mind using the horn either. We were in one of those small transport vans. About 6 of us. It had been raining and the tires on that van were about as wide as a 10 speed bike. Most horrifying drive of my life going through those mountains.

I didn't know it was a left lane driving country until we left the airport and I about shite myself when I saw a car coming at us in the right lane

Most of the time they used the horn was when they drove past someone they knew.

This is all true. That beach is much better than the halcyon and the hibachi restaurant is pretty solid. They will transport you for free

Hibachi was great and a ton of food. Just don't do the sushi. It was god awful.

No problem there for me. I dont do sushi...

I ended up getting drunk most nights and we hit the bistro snack bar out by the beach everynight. Was great being able to get some food at midnight if you want it.

We were there during the St Lucia summer celebration. Place was crazy. I enjoyed the trip there but I was older than most. 90% of the people there were 20-24 years old and on their honeymoon. The pool on the other side of the hotel from the beach that had a bar right on the side ended up bing a very peaceful place for us to get away from the pool volleyball when we wanted to just relax...

Some people make fun of Sandals but they know how to do All Inclusive. Most stuff there is just a little better than most All Inclusive's....

Other than the beach being most shite at the Halcyon, I had zero complaints there.

Second everything said about Sandals food/alcohol. I also recommend ordering wines since they can't water that down. All the liquor is watered down.

To that point. When you do a tour like JJ's speedboat their liquor IS NOT WATERED DOWN. My wife and I found out the hard way... Passed out around 4 and woke up the next day

Another bit of advice, when you get your bags from the airport they will have these guys with A dolley asking to takes your bags. Tell them no thanks. The sandals wait room is like 20 feet from the baggage claim. Will save you a tipping

Both ways too. They'll try it from the car to the ticketing agent which is like 10 feet.

Also if a kid gives you or your wife a trinket or something, it ain't free.

Not if you ask for the st lucia rum they keep under the bar. One bartender gave us that and made us think it was the watered down shite. I believed him until after the shot

Thanks for all the responses. We will be there from March 8th through the 15th. We will be in the minority as we are older. Really looking forward to unwinding for a while. Thanks again!
