Wiz, how far out did you book the driver and day tour for the winery. We're heading to Florence on Sunday and the weather looks spotty all week so ideally we'd like to get there and figure out then what day we'd like to do it. You think we could wait for that, or would you recommend hopping on that now?

It might be easy enough when you get there. I didn't really confirm it until about five days before. The seven hour time difference wasn't helping prior to our arrival.
The person I spoke with had above average English. You're probably safe waiting to book it there. It might not hurt to send an email in a few days just to open the dialogue.

Fantastic report
Food pictures are awesome. Looks like you mostly eat and drank.
My wife has been on me about this trip. Thanks for the report

Thanks!
I didn't want to bore everyone with pictures of the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, Palatine Hill, Arches, Ufizzi Gallery, Academeia, etc... Most people going should know about those major sights. Hopefully my tour group recommendation helped.
We did eat and drink our faces off. But I think that's how Italians expect it to be. Every eating event is an experience.

Hey, random questions. How was carrying all if your baggage from City to City. Did you pack light it what. My wife just planned a trip to Italy in September.
Also did you buy those cases of wine to bring back it just to drink?
