Punta Cana: Rum and Cigar tours

I'm not trying to add to the numerous PC threads on this board, so I will keep this specific. Has anyone done any of the rum or cigar tours out there? Even if you haven't, do you know of any that are worth doing? I'd like to see a tobacco farm tour or at the very least one of the cigar factories. I especially would like to do a rum distillery tour.
Speaking of rum, what are considered the best rums out of PC? I'm looking to bring back a few bottles of their better stuff, and I am not familiar with the rum distilleries.

didn't do any tours, but I really enjoyed the Brugal Leyendas. Not quite as good as the rum from Barbados but was very good, also the Barcelo Imperial. Around $30 each in the duty-free shop at PUJ.

THE Rum of the DR is Brugal.
