PSA for parking at MSY

Last week I flew out of MSY. I parked at USPark.net and it was great. Easy access off the interstate. Their new facility is very nice. Printed out a coupon for $5/day. The lot was practically empty too. I was worried about fitting my 3/4 ton truck in a garage, so this worked out perfect.

I believe that $5/day rate is for first time customers, and with a coupon that uses your license plate to ensure that you are a first timer. I enjoy USPark and recommend them, nonetheless. Sometimes, though, the van to pick you up at the terminal can take a while to arrive. That is my only complaint. The employees are always friendly and they will give you a free bottle of water if you ask for it at the ticket booth.

Where is this lot in relation to the new airport. I recall one on airline across from the old airport. Is this the same one you speak of?

It is on Veterans, west of Loyola nearing the parish line on the south side of Vets. If you have exited I-10 on Loyola, take a right and travel about half a mile on Vets. If you have run into the concrete levee wall, you have gone too far, but not by much. But the bright side is that area back there has some of the best rabbit hunting in Jefferson Parish, though, now it is likely illegal to hunt there.
If you were ever a metal scraper, you may remember All Scrap Metals on Vets. The USpark is on the site of the old All Scrap Metals. Remember, if it’s metal, it’s money.
