What’s the COVID climate in Boston right now? Looking for a long Labor Day weekend getaway for the family. Any major travel restrictions, can we do mostly what we would want, or are there a lot of closures? Just trying to check the climate, I know some areas in the northeast are still under restrictions.

Essentially, you’re shite out of luck.

If you fly into Massachusetts, you have to self-quarantine for either a) 14 days, or b) until you receive a negative test result. Have to fill out paperwork upon landing. Punishable by $500/day. If you fly in and go to fly out a few days later, there’s a good chance they won’t let you without proof of testing negative.

Also, even if that wasn’t the case, the city is a shell of itself right now. I work downtown literally right on the Freedom Trail, and the city is kind of depressing.

Mexico is open. Had some friends just return from Cabo.

I'm headed to Riviera Maya over Labor Day weekend.

Yeah, sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I think everyone's going stir crazy right now, just no where to really go. Shitty times.

Paperwork is online, right? I landed at Logan on Sunday and my mom picked me up at baggage claim. Didn’t have to talk with anyone on the way down. Either way, I did complete the travel form couple days before the flight and checked the box for awaiting test result.

We took a COVID test 72 hours (Thursday afternoon) before arriving in Boston and received the results on Tuesday, so pretty painless here

Guessing others won’t be / aren’t so lucky.

Honestly I don’t know. I haven’t traveled.

Glad to hear it was a fairly painless process for you.
