It’s been 10 years, but from what I remember, the worker’s know you are desperate to ski and act like it. They don’t really care. It’s a fix if you “have” to ski. I’ll take that place over not being able to ski, but it’s pretty basic.

It's been several years, but I have been to both Taos and Santa Fe and hogfly pretty much nailed it.

We would take a guys spring trip to NM every year and we always had a great time. It's much easier on the wallet, crowds and lift lines are very minimal (basically walk up to the lift and get on). And like hogfly said the town of Santa Fe is pretty cool. It's definitely different from the Colorado mountain towns though so don't expect it to be anything like those.

Red River is pretty small as well.

This is a great family ski place if you aren't looking for tons of hard runs. It's not big. You probably would want a condo so you can cook breakfast. But I really think it's a great place with kids. It's small, so I felt safe with 12-13 year olds skiing on their own and meeting up with you later.

I wasn't a fan of the skiing at Santa Fe. Probably because it's not in the town.
