Louisiana driver's license for flying - Real ID

So I haven't needed to renew my DL since Louisiana became compliant with Real ID. Got a flight later this week. Everything seems to say I am good with this ID to board a plane. Should I go to DMV tomorrow and get Real ID license or no? And yeah its sort of an ordeal going to the DMV around here.

I believe you are good thru October at least. Maybe even longer. But doesn’t hurt to go get the Real ID. I plan on doing so soon

I’m kind of thinking it may be worth it to carve out an hour tomorrow to get it done myself.
