Looking for recommendations in Beirut, Lebanon

Any of you ever been here? Just landed and looking for recommendations. I’m here for awhile so I got plenty of time to check things out.
So far, nice weather, nice people, everyone speaks English and BEAUTIFUL women.
Driving from the airport through the Shia neighborhoods to get to where I was staying and seeing hundreds of Hezbollah flags was certainly a hell of a way to start this trip off. So bizarre.

Interesting place to be
The food should be amazing. Baton Rouge is spoiled due to a sizable Lebanese refugeescommunity that opened up restaurants. So much better than the average “Greek” restuarants

Here for a language program. I’m focused on learning Levantine dialect and I already lived in Amman so this was pretty much the only option.
I’m a huge fan of Arab / Mediterranean food, so it’s heaven on Earth. They have tons of American type stuff too. They’ve got a whole damn restaurant dedicated to just Mac & Cheese which I find strange as hell but it’s super popular.
Did I mention the women? Masha’allah! Good god almighty man.
Colombia and Lebanon are the only countries a man ever needs to visit imo.

Interested to see pics! Please document everything. I just got back from 2 weeks in Israel. Didn’t travel outside the country borders but wanted to go to Egypt and Jordan really badly.
Little research I’ve done shows Beirut can be a pretty cool place

Not particularly, I lived in Jordan for three months and at one point was about 30ish miles from the ISIS pocket in southwest Syria around Daara. And that was when they were a lot stronger than now. Tbh I felt way more vulnerable when I’ve gone to Colombia.

Will do! Toward the end of my trip I’ll be going back to Jordan and going to Jerusalem for the first time which I’m excited about.

Nice! If you want a cool place to stay, look up Abraham Hostel is Jerusalem. Awesome location and was actually really nice (I had a private room). Did a pub crawl through the hostel as well which was fun. Met some really cool people and had no idea Jerusalem’s night life was so great. Took many shots of Arak

As for safety...I was supposed to go to Libya as well, but it was cancelled for safety reasons. We have ISIS "close" to our facilities, and a Westerner is a much higher value target than a local.

Check out The Village Dbayeh and a restaurant called Nasma. Nice outdoor seating area and the food is great. If you take a walk up the stairs to the right of the restaurant there are some bars and pubs up there. Live music some nights as well.
