Me and my husband are planning a trip (our first time) to Vegas possibly first week in June. You mentioned something about bundling with the ferris wheel where do you purchase bundle tickets was it at your hotel? For the Grand Canyon tour where did you purchase it from and how long was the trip from start to finish? I heard it's a lot of walking however wondering if using bus public transportation on the monorails would be better to use.

They do.
There are hundreds of restaurants and fine dining.
My wife picked out most of the eateries. I didn't mind because most of the actual restaurants are too pricey.

Yes, In and Out is extremely over rated

We bundled the Eiffel tower and the High Roller in the Paris Casino, where you pay for the Eiffel tower view.

We bundled the Mirage Zoo, the aquarium at Mandalay Bay, and the bodies expo at Luxor at the Mirage, outside their zoo entrance

Booked our Grand Canyon tour through The Grand Canyon Tour Company. It's on Tropicana, about a mile past the MGM. They picked us up at the MGM at 6:15 am and dropped us off at around 5pm.

The hop on/off bus is the best option. It's like $12 per person. You can hop on/off any of their buses at anytime. Don't have to get on the same bus.
We took the Tram from Excalibur to Mandalay Bay, to Luxor. It's free and fast. The monorail cost money and I am cheap... I also wanted to walk. My wife and I love people watching and walking sure gave us that.
Taxis are expensive. We were at a red light and the fare jumped over $3 while just sitting there and traffic on the strip is soo bad at night

Looks like yall had a great time

I'm going to Vegas in less than 2 weeks for a bday weekend getaway. Staying with friends that live there so not on the strip. Going to finally go see LOVE and walk around some of the newer casinos I've yet to see (Aria and Cosmo).

Anyone eaten at Javier's in Aria? Pics look cool and Mexican is my favorite type of food.

That hand carved wall looks insane

And tequila tree?

Next time use Uber or Lyft....From MGM to Fremont would have cost you about 12$. I just got back from Vegas myself this past week. Was there for 7 days. Got married on my birthday there March 2, but I am out there more than I should be anyways. lol

We walked right next to it and didn't realize it was Mexican until we read the sign.
Never seen a Mexican restaurant look so elegant...

Let me know how LOVE is.. We were looking at seeing a Cirque show, and I like the Beatles, but no one I talked to could tell me how the show was. We thought about KA or Michael Jackson ONE but we ran out of time

Someone in the gym told me that last night too. I wish I would have known that.

I wasn't thinking when I packed and I packed 3 LSU shirts and my LSU hat. All those people stopping you to ask you about shows were calling me LSU. I was an easy target and by the 3rd day, I literally started barking at all of them. My wife and the people around us couldn't stop laughing at me.

You walked all the way to Stratosphere? Good god. May as well have walked to downtown (joking). Wow. I bet your feet were killing you.

Did you see the Golden Nuggett pool?

Yes. It took close to half of the day just to get there. My feet were on fire. I was glad my wife wanted to stop in Ross's to shop. It gave me a chance to sit and rest.
My wife said when she went 2 years ago. They just kept walking past the Stratosphere to see the sights and they ended up downtown. They took a cab back. I told her there was no way I was going to walk there.

Yes, we say the pool and the shark tank from the lobby. They were charging $15 per person just to walk by the shark tank if you weren't staying at the hotel.

Yeah wearing an LSU shirt makes an easy target for the stupid timeshare people (which is getting out of control) & etc, but I always love it when someone yells "Geaux Tigers" to me out there.

During the early morning I have a lot of problems with the local bums there. The casinos don't have as many security workers. The bums constantly ask for a dollar or a cigarette. They'll even target the LSU shirt/hat and say they are from La or something then ask for a dollar.

Yes, They told me that too. I had one outside of Caesar's Palace ask me if I had a quarter to spare. I told him I didn't have change. He says, "How about a 20?" I

Congrats on getting married

Back in the day there I used to watch the bums make a dollar in quarters, then they'd run in the casino and put them in a slot that still took quarters and cash it out then collect the bill. The security guard at casino royale told me that's why they got rid of the last few quarter machines they had, they were taking the change from the fountains and stuff.

As far as the Cirque shows go I thought KA was a snoozefest, but my wife enjoyed it. The past trip we watched Mystere at TI. It was soooo much better. She said if she had seen Mystere first she would have been dissapointed with KA. Nexxt trip in a couple months we're either gonna see O or Le Reve.

With all the fake bums there are, it is hard to help any of them out because you never know if they are faking or not.
We saw one every day on the walkway by Miracle Mile Shops. The guy had on some nice loafers. They looked pretty new too.
Some of their signs are very funny though.

Our Concierge told us that I probably wouldn't like O. He said is was a lot of synchronized swimming and diving. He recommended Las Vegas, The Show
