Heading on a family vacation in LA for a few days. Plan to do Disneyland one day and will catch a Dodgers game. What are some other fun things to do that the kids may enjoy? Boys, ages 10, 7 and 4. Will be there for 4 days.

Warner Bros studio tour was excellent and the boys will like all of the costumes and props from movies they've seen. All of the Batman costumes and batmobiles were a hit with my kids.

I’m in a similar spot. My girls are 9 and 7 and we are going in late May

We are killing a day in Hollywood and then going to the Santa Monica pier. Check out the Griffin Observatory too. We’ve done a hike before to the Hollywood sign and it was amazing.

We are doing 3 days in Disney and also plan to hit up Huntington Beach.

Love that area

Just got back from the area. The Santa Monica pier is a dump tourist trap. I kept my hands in my pockets the whole time, because i thought i might get pick pocketed at any time.

It's not that sketchy. We didn't have any trouble. I went to the observatory, spent a day in Hollywood which is sketchy, did a tour ride through Beverly hills seeing all the famous people's houses, the Peterson Museum and the pier. I do wish we would have driven to the Rose Bowl and the Warner Brothers tour.

Is this your first time? It's the worst traffic I have ever been in. Takes a hour to go 10 miles.

No to Santa Monica pier. It is a tourist trap. Warner Brothers, Dodgers, Griffith Observatory is very close to Dodger Stadium so both of those in the same day, Knotts Berry Farm, Huntington Beach.
My wife -no pics- grew up in LA and made the suggestions. Personally I would skip Hollywood as well. To paraphrase Fred Sanford “there’s enough Asians here to make a King Kong movie”

If they’re interested in prehistoric stuff, the La Brea Tar Pits are interesting: LINK
