re: Key West Mask Mandate?

We went for our honeymoon last July. Mask mandate outside had just gone into effect and they were very strict about it. Cops were friendly but stern, and handed disposable ones to you if you didnt have one on. Absolutely no one allowed in any restaurant without one.
Stayed at Casa Marina for 3 nights, then a bed and breakfast called Andrews Inn for 3 nights. We just booked our anniversary back to key west and are staying only at Andrews Inn. We liked Casa Marina but the room was tiny and food/drinks were outrageous. Beach was nice, but obviously man made. Pools were extremely nice and well maintained. We just really enjoyed the smaller bed and breakfast scene. Andrews comes with a great breakfast every morning, and happy hour with free beer/wine every afternoon. Great little plunge pool in the center where you meet everyone. We ended up going out with folks we met staying there.
Like everyone else said, you don't really go for the beaches. I highly reccomend Danger charters for an excursion, and if you're a boat person, rent a small boat for the day and take it out to Boca Key. That's a real beach and you feel like you're in the middle of the caribbean. Well worth the time/money.
