Jet blue business class counter upgrades

Anyone had luck with snagging these? Many years ago I flew jetblue coach class and when I got to the ticket counter, they offered me an upgrade to business.
It was relatively good deal because with the upgrade, my bag fee was paid for and of course I got drinks and a much better comfortable seat.
The sixty dollar bag fees are a killer...

It sucks, but if you fly any airline with any regularity, it just makes sense to get the credit card to get the bag fees waived.
