Would you recommend taking Marta from ATL to Buckhead on Friday at 3pm rather than uber or lyft?

YOu talking about from the airport? I would 100% recommend taking marta, wtihout question. The ONLY possible, fathomable reason I would vote against it is if you have a comical amount of luggage, like 4-5 bags per person, which would be cumbersome on the train. You get on literally in the airport, near the baggage claim area. It's $2.50 for a one way trip. You don't have to worry abotu traffic and buddy rest assured at 3pm on a Friday there WILL BE TRAFFIC, a lot of it, everywhere. From the airport to Brookhaven station is about 35-45 minutes, generally just depends on how long you have to wait to board. So getting ot buckehad should be relatively similar. But it'll almost surely be quicker (and damn sure cheaper) than getting an uber.

Last thing to keep in mind is there are 2 northbound trains from the airport, red and gold, but the front of the train will have their final destination rather than a color. You want the Red line as that's teh one that goes to buckhead, so look for "North Springs" on the front (as that's the final northern destination fo the red line). If for some reason you do get on the Gold "Doraville" line, that's still not really a problem as it takes you most of the way, you'll just need to get off at Lindbergh and then wait for a red. Here is a train map: LINK
