Houston- Labor Day weekend. What to do?

With a 14 year old birthday boy. Going Friday the 31st to the Astros game, that's what he wants for his day. He wants to go to pre-game batting practice. Anyone know what time that is or how to find that info? What's the best way to get tickets?
Also- need suggestions on possible things to do Saturday and Sunday in Houston? All of my trips there have been business related so not really aware of other things. Google is full of escape rooms and water park. Any other suggestions?

If you are a beer fan, go checkout the new St Arnold outdoor area. It is really awesome, they have a great kitchen there also.
