I travel around the state (no air travel) for work. New company policy requires me to book through the expense system, whereas I used to book through Hotels.com for rewards. Anyway, I stay in hotels around 3-5 nights per month. Is it worth it to limit myself based on hotel chain?

If so, what should I target? I also have to use the company card, so no hotel card available.

IHG? Marriott/SPG? Hilton? Hyatt is out, not enough near me.

Thanks!

I recommend having the brand you like best as your go to. Then pick a second brand when you can’t find something you like with your primary brand. It’s best to stick to one brand as much as you can.

IHG for points, Hilton or Marriott for upgrades and perks.

Just depends if you want more free nights or bigger rooms and free breakfast

Came here to say this. I hope my company doesn't force us to do the same as you, but afraid it's only a matter of time.

I use hotels.com if the price is more expensive and if they are lower priced gotel use IHG or Marriott. I have status with each of the two, and am trying to keep the average price per night higher with hotels.com. I also get to keep CC points so I can use those as well and have multiple options depending on where I’m going.
