Green Pass for Italy - anyone looked into this?

Starting August 6, Italy will require this electronic pass to go inside restaurants, museums, and other indoor events.
So far, all I kind find is that “it’s unclear” how someone outside of Italy is supposed to obtain this. Maybe they just haven’t set it up, but has anyone looked into this?
Any information you found on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the link. I do have the card.
I actually saw the first part of the headline you linked, but didn't read the article. At that point I was aggravated with not being able to get a definite take on whether the Green Pass was needed.

Maybe try and Email the Italian US embassy or check their site.

I think you can use a photo of your card on your phone to go to indoor dining and stuff. But we are taking our actual cards to be certain.
