Golf/Hiking/Fishing Trip Outside of Seattle (May)- Olympic Area or Leavenworth/Wenatchee?

Have a Louisiana baw coming up for a visit and trying to determine where the best location would be for a few day golf, hiking, and fishing trip early/mid May in WA. Generally understand the weather is sunnier/nicer if we go east towards Leavenworth/Wenatchee, but curious about Shelton/Ocean Shores/Olympic area as well. Also open to spots in the north cascades or south along the border if anyone has specific locations in mind. Appreciate any suggestions or recommendations

Golf- Can get good courses on either side (Salish Cliffs in Shelton vs Desert Canyon in Orondo) so a spot with less rain would be ideal but not a deal breaker.

Fishing- Looks like it's trout season in May so Yakima River might be a good bet? Neither of us have been fly fishing so could test out the ropes on that aspect

Hiking- Can't go wrong anywhere around here. Would be interested in the Hoh River Trail if we went to Olympic or somewhere by Leavenworth if East. Guessing higher elevation hikes will be off limits for early May given the high snowfall amounts this year.
