Love the Lou.

Definitely City Museum.

Side Project is probably the "best" brew (as in most respected), but it's pretty heavy on the beer nerd factor.

I really, really liked Urban Chestnut's big German style beer hall last time we were there.

The food and drink scene is kind of crazy good in St. Louis right now, so there are a ton of high quality places.

Flad Avenue. It is between S Vandeventer Ave and the Missouri Botanical Garden. Know the area?

Yep. you're a few blocks from the greatest soccer bar in the country. No joke. you're just a 6-10 min drive from almost everything thats been mentioned, and only about 3 minutes from urban chestnut.

If you like soccer, and lets say USA is playing one of the days you're here, I'd stop by for a quick pint. Amazing place.

Grants farm is also a great time

it's free admission like zoo, u only pay to park. tram takes you around the area where the Busch family mansion sits. Grants cabin is on land. The fence made with civil war barrels is always cool, and free beer.

Free BEERRRRRRRRRRR

It's out in the burbs, but not far from downtown.

Only issue with that place, i went there a few Saturdays ago, 50 minute wait to get it. Granted it was like 10:45am
which is kinda late..

Yes. Very well.

Lots of people will recommend Imo's for St. Louis pizza. It's Ok, but that's on the level of Dominos. My go-to has always been Guidos on the hill which is 5 minutes from you. Great tapas and small plates and fresh pizza. Guido's delux with 50/50 cheese blend.

A new bar just opened on Shaw (also within 5 minutes) called the Gaslight. It's a live music venue bar. But the cool thing is the stage is In sound proof room that the artists are recording in. You can see them through soundproof glass and hear their recording through monitors. Another "hip" spot is the Royale on Kingshighway. If you're big drinkers, the Trophy Room and O'Connels both have 3am liquor licenses and are within a 3-5 minute drive and a short walk, respectively.

Heading towards downtown you'll run right into the Soulard District. Llewelyn's, Mission Taco, and McGurks are all great spots to grab a beer.

Lafayette Square is full of nicer spots for drinks and eats.

For a fancy dinner Tony's and Carmine's are the standard spots down town.

St. Louis is a lot like NOLA in that the neighborhood establishments are the best places to eat, drink and be entertained. Let me know if you have any more questions.

ETA: the zoo is one of the best in the country, so hit that up if it's not sweltering outside. To cool off, the art museum is criminally underrated.

yeah weekends get f'in packed.

we like to take a day off and go during spring, or weekend when they are on fall hours.

Imos is not good pizza, it's something that the city has taken and ran with as "St.LOuis Best Pizza". So much better pizza at one of the italian eateries. Faraci pizza is good

Also, if you go to brewery, try to hit guses pretzels across the street from it. excellent pretzels and really good brautzels.

I've heard brewer in Maplewood has a nice place in downtown ot get their beer and eat? I always forget their name.

I've been wanting to go there.

If going to the Grove to visit Urban Chesnut's Bierhall, also check out The Gramophone. 20 local taps and great sandwiches. Really laid back vibe.

4 Hands brewery in Soulard just opened a second floor of their tap room in the last couple weeks. It's filled with old school arcade games, including skee ball I believe, all set for free play.

ETA: I don't know if there are tickets still available or if the OP will be in town tonight, but I'm going see Louis CK at Scottrade.

Would highly recommend. Service was great. They also have food next door--can't remember the name, but it was a food truck that moved their operations into the east side of the building.

I hate that I only get to visit a few days at a time. The city has so much more to offer these days.

If you do the Arch (I enjoyed it), be sure to check out the Old St. Louis County Courthouse that is right by it. It's from the mid-1800s and is well worth a walk through.

If you plan to drink and eat at Schlafly, make sure you order a bowl of mussels. Best (and most) mussels you'll eat in one setting unless you're at a mussel all you can eat.

Have fun.
