Just got back from South Africa. Awesome trip. It’s 18 to 1 rand to the dollar. It’s so inexpensive in SA. A beach front house is as low as $150K. Prices are crazy.

I was there last summer and bought some Zimbabwe$$ that isnt worth anything due to inflation and they changed their currency. One says its twenty thousand dollars. Happy to mail it to you! Have a few $20.00 of it too.

I never once used my rands when there. Very few places make change and it was more of a pain. Debit card was the way to go. I used the ATM when I arrived and had to try to spend them after 18 days of toting them around.
