Flying out tonight at 7:24 pm. Just read online that VP Pence is headed to town and is supposed to arrive at 3:35 pm and then headed to the WWII museum for an event and fundraising, I presume then headed back to the airport later this evening.

Was planning on getting to the airport around 5:15 pm. I think arriving at this time, I should be getting there after he is gone. Also, since I will be driving west while his motorcade passes east, I'm hoping I will avoid traffic.

Anyone else ever dealt with this type of situation before? Anything else I need to consider?

His motorcade can and does sometimes shut down both sides of the interstate, just went through this shite in Chattanooga in July. fricked up traffic here hardcore. Got stuck in that garbage.

Odd that he is flying into MSY. They typically fly into the Navy Base.

The terminal traffic probably wont be bad or any worse than normal by 5:15.

That's what I'd do.

Waze should help as well.

i sometimes think that flying into MSY and not NEW or NBG is purely for a photo op. I mean, come on, just fly to NBG and be done with it.
