Seems like a great deal;
In a newly launched sale, Emirates Vacations has dropped the price of its all-inclusive 7-night Maldives vacation to $1599 per person.
This trip covers: Roundtrip flights from JFK to Male on Emirates, one of the world's best airlines (Skytrax)
7 nights on a private island at the 4.5-star Vilamendhoo Island Resort
Roundtrip seaplane transfers
Daily breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner
Unlimited drinks plus minibar beverages and a half bottle of Champagne per room, per stay
Activities, including a sunset cruise, snorkeling and windsurfing
Depart: Sept. 11-12, 17-19. This deal is priced for departure from New York, however, departures from Boston, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco and Seattle are also available.
Additional departures in October are also $1599 per person but do not include seaplane transfers.
The option to upgrade to a 5-star resort is also available for an additional $500 per person (different all-inclusive options apply).

It's during monsoon season but my experience with monsoon is that usually, it's not so bad unless you get really unlucky.

Yes.
We've used them at Four Seasons and Mandarin Oriental properties. They've even let us check in with Plat Amex and use those perks.
